On the 21st of June, 2018, Business Perspectives Publishing Company and Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics will hold a seminar titled "Academic journals: creation, promotion and assessment" to popularize the best publishing practices among Ukrainian publishers, editors, librarians, and scholars; discuss the current state of Ukrainian academic journals and their consistency/inconsistency with leading scientometric databases.

З метою просування одного з найважливіших засобів здійснення наукової комунікації між фахівцями в межах сфери діяльності - наукових журналів, за участю керівника проекту «JIC Index» Сергія Козьменко та директора видавництва «Ділові перспективи» Людмили Остапенко 18 травня 2018 року на базі Університету митної справи та фінансів відбудеться семінар «Наукові журнали: створення, просування, оцінка».

In order to promote one of the most important means of scientific communication between the experts in scientific journals publication, the seminar "Scientific journals: creation, promotion, and estimation" will be held on May 18, 2018, on the basis of the University of Customs and Finance, with the participation of Serhii Kozmenko, the head of the "JIC Index" project, and Liudmyla Ostapenko, the director of the publishing company "Business Perspectives".

Liudmyla Ostapenko, the Director of LLC “Business Perspectives”, Serhiy Kozmenko, manager of the project “JIC Index”, and Yevgen Khlobystov, Editor of the journal “Environmental Economics”, took part in VI International research and practice conference “Scientific Communication in the Digital Age” that took place on March 29-30, 2018 at National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Library in Kyiv.  

In social networks and on official websites, we often encounter news related to scientific journals, their rankings, indexing, publication invitations, etc. At the same time, most readers are not deeply concerned with the content of the news and perceive it as a statement of fact, which may need to be shared with friends across the network. However, if we strive to develop our journals and bring them closer to the best world practices, the news should be analyzed and certain conclusions should be drawn.
